So today I’m going to share with you my amazing Baked Cod recipe! Tackling fresh seafood like Cod may seem super fancy and hard, but its actually really easy. This is my foolproof way to bake cod, and the best part is that it is ready in 30 mins or less! Yay for easy, quick, and healthy meals amiright??
What You Need:
1 stick of Butter
1 cup of Olive Garden Croutons
2 tsp Parsley(or Parsley flakes)
1 tsp Garlic Powder
Cod is one of the mildest tasting fish out there, so you don’t have to be worried about getting a “strong” flavor or fishy taste like salmon can have sometimes. Thats one of the reasons its one of my favorite fish to bake in the oven!
The first thing that you want to do is crumble up your croutons. If you have a food processor, the easiest way is to put it through it until it is crumbled up finely. If you don’t have one, you can still crumble it easily by putting them in a ziploc bag, and pounding it with a meat tenderizer, or even the bottom of a bottle if nothing else.
After you’ve ground it up, put it in a small bowl, and add the garlic powder and parsley, and mix.
Melt your stick of butter separately.
Set your oven to 350 degrees to warm up. Grease your baking pan with butter, or cooking spray. You can also line with foil.
Once your butter is melted, take the cod fillet and dip it into the butter. Then roll it in the crouton mixture and put it on your baking sheet.
Once you have the cod all ready to go, stick it in the oven for about 15 minutes, or until your fish becomes “flaky”. (It will basically flake apart when you twist a fork in it.)
That’s it! Take it out and let it cool a bit. You can pair this with whatever sides you want to complete the meal, or just eat the fish! This is also really great to put on bread as a sandwich. Super easy, and super delish!
