Hey guys! Hello and welcome to the secondv edition of The Morning Brew – with the BFF’s! If you’re one of our email subscribers (which you totally should be!) then you know that we love sharing our weekly favorites as well as a little bit about what we’ve been up to during the week when we weren’t blogging. It’s a lot of fun for sure! Well, now we’ve decided to expand this by starting a weekly post on Monday morning’s. We’ll be sharing little bits of our weeks, rants and rambles, as well as some of the things that we’re loving. So grab a nice cup o’ Joe (or tea) and chat with us this morning. Feel free to leave a comment, and share about your past week as well. We’d love to hear what everyone’s been up to.
Here are a few of the things that we just couldn’t get enough of this week:
Studded Rainboots! – It’s no secret that I love shoes, and it’s been raining like crazy around here. So naturally I had to get some new rain boots. I’m loving these because they’re gray and because of the fake studs they look a little edgy which is a style element I like.
Liquid Lipsticks – Liquid lipsticks have recently become popular and I really liked the idea of them. So I picked up a couple the last couple weeks and really love them. They’re matte and last, and they don’t dry my lips out so they’re basically perfect. The NYX one is in Milan, and the Revlon one is in Temptation.
Old Croc Cheese– I picked up this cheese on a whim the other day at Walmart and I have to say that it is AMAZING! I love cheeses, especially a nice sharp cheddar and this one is definitely it. They had it marked down for $3 when I bought it, so naturally I went back and got another pack haha. I also love that it’s made from milk from grass fed cows, and is non gmo. Always a plus!
Alba Botanica Good & Clean Wipes – Since I went through some skin changes I started using these babies almost every day to take off makeup, and for light cleansing and exfoliating. I love them! The best thing is that one side has a rough part that’s exfoliating, and the other side is smooth. So you can exfoliate and cleanse all in one step. Plusss it’s free of parabens, etc and is made of 100% vegetarian ingredients.
Here’s a look at what we were up to when we weren’t blogging!
This week was a pretty nice one. It’s just been busy as usual, especially since the semester is ending. And I’m starting to experiment with skin masks to see if they help my skin out. It’s not in bad shape, I’m just wanting to do more to preserve my youth.
If you guys follow me on Snapchat, then you know that I tend to snap my trips to the grocery store, because I’m boring and I get unnecessarily excited about fresh produce. The other day I got the chance to check out Kroger’s Taste of Spain event, and I loved picking up some of the new items available. Sadly I didn’t get to sample anything, but I picked up some interesting recipes! I’ll definitely be using some of the really soon in my own recipes!
Here’s some things that we cooked up this week!
Sara – Earlier this week I made some chicken meatballs and pasta. I’m not really a fan of ground chicken, but they turned out great! If you want to see us make them on the blog comment below!
Hannah – This week I dipped my toes into Indian cuisine. I cheated a bit with this Marion’s Kitchen Indian Butter Chicken kit that I picked up when it was on sale, but it was still pretty amazing! Plus, now I’m more confident and think I’ll try it from scratch with this recipe. I paired my butter chicken with some garlic & herb rice & sauteed snow peas.
You know we’re all about getting great deals, and making fashion & lifestyle affordable. Naturally, we like to pass these deals along to you guys, because you’re the best, duh!
