Hey guys! Hello and welcome to the fourth edition of The Morning Brew – with the BFF’s! If you’re one of our email subscribers (which you totally should be!) then you know that we love sharing our weekly favorites as well as a little bit about what we’ve been up to during the week when we weren’t blogging. It’s a lot of fun for sure! Well, now we’ve decided to expand this by starting a weekly post on Monday morning’s. We’ll be sharing little bits of our weeks, rants and rambles, as well as some of the things that we’re loving. So grab a nice cup o’ Joe (or tea) and chat with us this morning. Feel free to leave a comment, and share about your past week as well. We’d love to hear what everyone’s been up to.
April is Stress Awareness Month, and sleeping is always one of our favorite ways to de-stress. So we wanted to share this great Napping 101 graphic from the online mattress companyCasper.com with you all!
Here are a few of the things that we just couldn’t get enough of this week:
Miitomo – This is actually an app that’s kind of a game. I really like it because you can be silly on it and still connect with your friends. Plus you can have your avatar rock out some sweet outfits like mine.
Rimmel Stay Matte Primer-I actually got this the other day and wore it today. I’ve been using this primer for the last couple summers, and I remember how much I love it because it keeps my oily skin matte all day! It’s perfect since it’s starting to get warmer, and I’m not sweating my makeup off.
Flower Kiss Stick Velvet Lip Color– I’ve been trying to up my lipstick game and I picked up this one at my local Walmart. I really love the bold color and it lasts really well! I’m wearing the To the Poinsetta shade.
Two Roasting Joes Coffee – I’m always on the look out for a new great coffee! I found a nice local brew from an Amish store in the area. I love that these guys are just about 45 mins from me, so it’s definitely a local company. I love supporting local businesses and I was thrilled to buy this brew. I picked up the “Chillicoffee” blend and it definitely is kickin’! It’s nice and strong, just the way I like it. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other blends.
Here’s a look at what we were up to when we weren’t blogging!
I’ve been experimenting more with face masks this week. I tried this African clay one for acne. But sadly it made me break out more. Ah the life of having sensitive skin. 🙁
It’s been kind of a slow week for me. I worked a bunch, as per usual, but on my off days I filled up on produce, and took advantage of our beautiful weather. Tiger has been loving it as well. He loves laying in the sun, and of course getting a lot of petting from me. lol. He’s my gardening cat, always standing watch over the greenhouse, and keeping my seedlings safe. 🙂
Here’s some things that we cooked up this week!
Sara – I’ve been upping my salad/eating healthier game this week. I’ll just feel a lot better when I’ll eat a salad every day, or every other day. Something I like to do is make a big salad, and eat it all through the evening so I avoid snacking. Oh and this Mexican chicken salad was crazy good.
Hannah – While visiting my grandma earlier in the week I helped make up a batch of Ham Salad. It’s a family recipe that we like making every once in a while. It’s really great on sandwiches and good as a little finger food sandwich. You can get the recipe here.
You know we’re all about getting great deals, and making fashion & lifestyle affordable. Naturally, we like to pass these deals along to you guys, because you’re the best, duh!
