This is my usual “uniform” when I’m going to work. Since I’m the only one representing myself and am my own boss I like to dress a little more professional. I always think that first impressions are everything so I always like to look on point when I have a full day of meetings.

I think that you can never go wrong with wearing a blazer, it’s always the perfect clothing item to make an outfit look polished and professional. I am wearing a sweater under the blazer because it was so cold when we took these pictures. I like to wear something that has a bit of personality just to keep my outfit from getting boring. For pants I prefer a pair that’s more fitting against the leg so it’s more flattering for my body. The booties I’m wearing are super comfortable which is perfect because I’m on my feet a lot. I’ve worn these to the point where the heal is coming off but I super glued it back on. Lol

When I first started my job I kind of had to find my “style” when it comes to professional wear.  I feel like it’s good to find your own style, and a good way to do that is with The Curated Closet by Anuschka Rees. This book is great because it goes over several different aspects of fashion, like discovering your personal style, building your dream wardrobe, and shopping for the key quality pieces that are better to have in your wardrobe. It really helps you to discover and think about the clothes you’re going to wear and what they say about you, building a wardrobe that fits your real everyday life, and finding clothes that fit well. This is a perfect book for a girl that’s graduating from college soon, or a post graduate since you’re going to be going out in the world searching for a new job or even starting one; or even if you’re wanting to just start over with redoing your wardrobe for the new year.
