Let it Snow, Baby

It’s been a pretty chilly week here in Ohio. We had a really nice snow the other day so naturally Sara and I had to take some snowy day Wearable Wednesday photos. Luckily I was pretty warm in this black infinity scarf & heavy cardigan. I originally got this cardigan from Torrid last year, so it’s no longer available, but there are similar ones that I liked in the widget below.

The thing about snow in Ohio is it seems like even though it snows heavily here every winter, people still freak out. The forecast was calling for like 1-3 inches of snow later in the afternoon and people were already invading Walmart and loading up on milk & bread like its the apocalypse. It’s something that always irritates me and I never understand it. In my head its just like, it snows every year, why are you freaking out? Even with driving everyone goes over dramatic. When we took these photos the roads were fine, yet people were all over Facebook, and even my family, talking about how treacherous the roads were and could be. I don’t know guys, I just never let the weather get to me too much. I mean, we are in Ohio after all. It can be 60 degrees one day and 10 the next lol.

Whenever I wear a lot of black and white or neutrals together I tend to want to put a pop of color, and that’s what I did here. Instead of sticking strictly to the neutrals I wanted the red and the dark wash of my jeans to stand out. This is a great winter feeling outfit, without being too neutral or bundled up in a coat. I will have to say, if I were going to be in the snow a ton, I would have worn different shoes. These studded flats I have were fine for sticking to streets & sidewalks though. Impractical, but definitely pretty!

That’s all for me this week guys. Don’t forget to check out the wonderful bloggers in this weeks link up, and link up your own post as well! Have a great week everyone!
