Spicy Mango Beef Noodle Bowl

This month’s Degustabox was full of snacks and a few products that you can cook with. We decided to use the vegetable noodles that came in the box and make a spicy mango beef noodle bowl! Noodle bowls are awesome because you can put in any vegetables and meat you have on hand and make something really good ad healthy. They’re also great to take for your lunch since you can eat them hot or cold.

Spicy Mango Beef Noodle Bowl

We kept this bowl really simple by cooking a steak, and adding a couple veggies.

We used:

1 Shredded carrot
A 7 oz steak (of your choice)
1 Tablespoon of salt
Vegetable noodles
1 Spicy mango chili sauce

Start off by cooking the steak I cooked mine so it would be medium rare, I use Alton Brown’s method and it always turns out really good and tender.

Heat a cast iron skillet for 5 minutes to get the pan really hot, then put the salt in the pan and put the steak in. Sear the steak for a minute on each side and 30 seconds on the edges to get it brown all over. Take the steak off of the skillet and wrap it in foil for 3 minutes.

While the steak is taking a quick rest, shred the carrots, and cut up the onions. And rinse off the noodles, and let them sit while you finish cooking the steak.

Once the 3 minutes is up put the steak back in the pan and cook it on each side for one minute then flip and cook on the other side for another minute, and repeat cooking the steak for a total of 4 minutes being 2 minute son each side. Then take it off of the pan and wrap it back up in the foil for another 5 minutes. *If this is confusing go read how he does it so you can understand better. I had to read through it a couple times. Lol

While the steak is resting again fill a bowl with hot water and put the vegetable noodles in the bowl for a minute to cook them a little bit.

To make the bowl put the noodles in the bottom, slice the steak and put it int he middle, and add the carrots and green onion. And add the sauce on the steak. Then that’s it!
