Turkey and Hummus Wraps

Summer is almost gone, and back to school season is here! If you’re heading back to college (or making school lunches for your kids), eating healthy through the day is so important. I know we definitely leaned toward unhealthy eating in our college days. So today with our friends at Degustabox we’re making some Turkey and Hummus Wraps. This is a quick and easy lunch that is as great on the go as it is to eat at home.

Turkey and Hummus Wraps

To make this recipe today we’re using the Hummustir hummus kit that we got in this months Degustabox , along with all of these other goodies. If you haven’t heard about Degustabox, they’re a subscription box company that sends you food items every month to try and give your opinion. A couple of the items pictured will vary based on your subscription. They always have a great variety of items ranging from cooking ingredients, to snacks & drinks. We also used some of the pasta chips as a side to the wrap. They were delish, and so flavorful!

Turkey and Hummus Wraps

To start making your wraps you’ll need:

Hummus (we used Hummustir, and made our own. It was super easy!)
Deli sliced Turkey
Avocado, sliced
Onion
Tomato
Lettuce
Cheese
Tortillas

Since the great thing about wraps is you can customize them to your own taste, you can always leave some ingredients out, or add more that you like better. You can even swap out Turkey for Roast Beef, etc.

To assemble your wrap you want to start by spreading your hummus on the tortilla. You can then start adding your toppings as you wish, starting with the turkey & cheese. Once you have everything on there, just fold it up. You can seal the wrap by placing a little hummus on side you’re trying to fold over. that will help it stay in place rather than unfolding.

That’s all there is too it! In just a few minutes you have a great filling lunch to help you through a day of classes, or to make for your kids! You can put your wrap in a baggie and take it on the go as well. The wrap, plus some veggie chips is such a great lunch!
