Sunglasses-I think Foster Grant? The name wore off because I wear them ALL the time.
Purchased at Big Lots.
I thought that it would be appropriate to have the first Wearable Wednesday be a Valentine style because it’s that time of the year again. This can be a simple outfit to wear if you have any plans with that special someone (significant other, friend, your cat). 🙂
If your going to spend the day with that someone or your friends, it’s always fun to dress up with some hearts and a little bit of pink. You can never go wrong with pink.
Am I right girls??
And if your curious, my hot date will be with my biology class. The lecture is suppose to be about the heart. I know so romantic.
Also, it made me wish I had my own pair of Batman footie pjs, and a ginormous fur coat.
Am I alone in this??
Apparently this video/song has been a top one for a long time now, and I’ve just been living under a huge rock.
This week I finally discovered it, and died.
You should all go watch it too now!!! Although…
you probably already have, since I’m so out of the loop. Haha.
A word of caution though, the video does contain some language, so be warned!
This week(and last) has also been a week of trying new restaurants around our college town. It’s been awesome sauce!
We tried this great Italian restaurant called Melini Cucina. They have a really good selection of Italian dishes at great prices. They even have daily specials! I always like some sweet deals on my meals.
That totally rhymed.
I tried a glorious dish, which I cannot remember the name of (FAIL) but it was awesome and creamy and mushroomy.
We also tried a meal at the Port City Cafe. I LOVED the atmosphere here. It was so cozy and nice.
I got to try Irish bacon for the first time! I had no idea what it was, and asked the waiter there and he said it was like a thin pork chop. It didn’t sound too scary to me, so I ordered the Irish BLT with that on it. Oh. My. Gawd. It was delicious! Yum Yum YUM!
I also enjoyed watching Sara devour her MEGA HUGE Club Sandwich. Haha.
I’m really bad at ceramics. You might be thinking to yourself, oh Hannah, you drama queen you.
I am REALLY SUPER bad at ceramics class.
I had trouble CENTERING the clay on the potters wheel for like 5 weeks. We made tiny dog bowl looking things, and I was ridiculously behind everyone else because I just plain couldn’t get it.
This week we started making cylinders, and by we I mean I, because everyone else had already started them and I was behind.
And this was my attempt:
One of my friends said it looked like a cylinder on shrooms.
I think that’s pretty accurate.
Regardless of how epically bad my clay skills are, it made my smile list for this week.
Why you say?
I think that its important that, even if you completely blow at something, you should try to find some humor in it. Finding the humor, and the brightness in things is SO much better than getting angry and frustrated.
Enjoy life! Keep trying to be better! Don’t give up on things!
Aaaannnd there’s your moral for the day.
And my ceramics professor making sparks fly all over the room.
That definitely made me smile.
These AWESOME Teapot/cup things that someone made for the Clay Works show going on at the college. I LOVED these. I mean, can you imagine how long it took that person to make all of those teeeeeny tiny skulls? That’s some serious skill.
I’m also kicking myself for not writing down the artists name. I’m sorry for not giving you credit for your awesomeness!
Anyways, those are basically the highlights from my week.
You should totally follow me on Instagram for more weekly awesomeness!
Hannah and I have been getting more adventurous lately with trying different restaurants around the college. This local Italian restaurant has really good food, and AMAZING cheesecake.
We will for sure be repeat customers.
Ok, so if you know me you will quickly learn that I am a huge Star Wars geek. Anything with Star Wars on it, I want it. Although I don’t really have that much Star Wars memorabilia. Sad. I want this shirt though, it’s very fitting for me.
Get it? Fitting? Oh man I am FUNNY!!
I told you that we are getting adventurous. Later in the week we went to a local Irish pub/restaurant. I loved that place. It almost felt like I was in Ireland. I also got the biggest sandwich I ever ate, that thing was HUGE! I ate the whole thing and couldn’t move for the rest of the day.
I got to sit next to this in science class on Thursday.
Need a hand?
Something that always makes me smile is this right here.
Hannah and I have the weirdest conversations all the time. This is what real friendship looks like people.
So that’s what happened this week. It’s always good to stop during a busy or stressful week and remember to enjoy the little things that can brighten your day.
We’re SUPER stoked about this blog and are looking forward to all of the awesomeness to come. We also look forward to making lots and LOTS of blogger buddies.
It could be because we have no other friends, or we just love people; you can decide which.
So I guess we should tell you a bit about ourselves and what inspired this blog. Well, we’re Hannah & Sara. We’ve been friends since we were little kids, but we’re as different as two people can be basically. I’m good at things, and Sara is good at others, so we decided to combine forces to create this blog showcasing BOTH of our awesomeness with the world!
Here’s a bit of what you can expect:
Sara’s expertise and general knowledge of cooking, fashion, and beauty.
My expertise and general knowledge of photography, books, and cooking.
We’ll ramble on about our daily lives.
We plan to also showcase some cool products, have sweet giveaways, and some other cool stuff as the blog grows.
We’ll also have jokes.
Oodles of jokes.
So yeah, you should DEFINITELY get in on this action!
(Also, so no one is confused on who is who, we made these sweet graphics)
